I refer to Budget Paper No. 2, Volume 2 at page 537 "Appropriations, Expenses and Cash Assets" and ask what funding has been provided in the Budget to ensure the mental health needs of children living in the South West region and in the care of the Chief Executive Officer of the Department for Child Protection are being identified and responded to?

Total funding allocated to the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) for South West Mental Health Service is $19,643,275 for 201314.  Of this, $11,917,076 is allocated to Specialised Community Services, of which Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) is a component.
The South West CAMHS program is guided by the Statewide generic Mental Health and Department of Child Protection and Family Support (DCPFS) Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) that supports partnered approaches between Department of Health and DCPFS, that is an integrated approach to case management, treatment and care coordination of children in the care of the Chief Executive Officer of DCPFS.
