I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1) There are
four full-time equivalent staff based at the Wyndham office. As at 7 April 2014
three positions are filled and one position is vacant.
(2) The three
positions filled are two senior child protection workers—one employee
is temporarily acting against a position—and one case support officer.
(3) One
position of team leader child protection is vacant. A recruitment process is
currently in place to fill this position. One position of senior child
protection worker is vacant, but is being temporarily filled by a relief
employee. A successful applicant has been identified and will be appointed in
May 2014.
(4) At 7 April
2014, there were 45 open child protection cases in the Wyndham office.
