Minister for Innovation and ICT:
I refer to the tasks of the Western Australian Electric
Vehicles Working Group.
(1) Is the
working group responsible for developing the state electric vehicle strategy?
(a) If no,
what is the responsible body?
(b) What is the time frame for
completion of the state electric vehicle strategy?
(2) When will the action plan to increase the share of
electric vehicles in the state government fleet be complete?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. I provide the following answer on behalf of the
minister representing the Minister for Innovation and ICT.
(1) The Western Australian
Electric Vehicles Working Group, chaired by the Department of Water and
Environmental Regulation, is developing the draft state electric vehicle strategy
for consideration by government.
(a) Not
applicable.
(b) The electric
vehicle strategy is being progressed alongside the development of the state
climate policy and will be released when finalised.
(2) The strategy will address
electric vehicles in the government fleet as well as other initiatives.
