In respect of my portfolios, I can advise that only the Department of Housing have sold any Government-owned assets since 30 June 2008 which had a sale value of $500 000 or more, with the exception of agencies involved in intangible financial assets that are bought and sold during the normal course of their business. This exception includes the Government Employees Superannuation Board, Insurance Commission of Western Australia and Western Australia Treasury Corporation.
The Department of Housing advises:
(a)-(g) [see tabled paper no ] for sale of houses and [see tabled paper no ] for sale of land by the Department of Housing up to 12 November 2009. There are an additional eight properties to the value of $6,257,500 which have been sold but settlement has not yet occurred and which therefore have not been included in the tables.
The name of buyer is considered confidential information under the Commonwealth
Privacy Act 1988
. Stamp Duty paid by the purchasers is received by the State Revenue Department. The proceeds of sale fund the provision of social and affordable land and housing outcomes.
