1) The Water Corporation currently hosts eleven apprentices though Group Training Company arrangements and employs one directly. (2) 13 Trainees. (3) Yes. All future Water Industry Workers are required to undertake a traineeship at Certificate levels II & III. Apprentice numbers will increase in 2005-06, although apprentices will continue to be employed by Group Training Companies and hosted by the Water Corporation. (4) Funding is still being finalised. At this stage it is not possible to quantify the anticipated increase in apprentice numbers. There are 21 newly appointed employees currently awaiting traineeship registration by New Apprenticeship Centres. This will occur over the next eight weeks. Eligible existing employees will undertake traineeships through the 'Existing Worker Traineeship' initiative. (5) Funding is still being finalised. There are eight training personnel assigned responsibility for coordination, development, delivery and assessment of trainee programs. (6) N/A
