MARKETING CORPORATION
1076. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
Minister for Agriculture and Food:
(1) Why did the
Potato Marketing Corporation of Western Australia move from its traditional
location on Cockburn Road?
(2) Will the Potato Marketing

I thank the member for the question.
I do not have a detailed answer for the member so I ask him to put it on notice

Hon Ken Travers : You're kidding! You don't
even know if you're going to get the proceeds?
Hon KEN BASTON : No, I do not know whether the corporation
will get the proceeds but it moved because it wanted a bigger space.
Hon Ken Travers : No, they moved because of unacceptable
health risks from asbestos and maintenance problems.
The PRESIDENT : Order! Members, you cannot answer your own
question in this place.
Hon Ken Travers : Ministers can't.
The PRESIDENT : Order! As I said before, members might not
like an answer to a question—they might not even agree with it—but
they have to hear it.
Hon KEN BASTON : I ask the member to put the question on
notice so he can receive accurate details. I would hate to mislead the
Parliament with anything that I say.
