The Report of the Machinery of Government Taskforce, chaired by Mr Stuart Hicks, was received and considered by Cabinet at its meeting on 18 June 2001. The period of engagement of Stuart Hicks Management Pty Ltd commenced on 26 February 2001 and continued to 1 June 2001 with a contract fee of $60,000. The delay in finalising the submission to Cabinet and subsequent follow up requirements resulted in Mr Hicks continuing to Chair the Taskforce until 30 June 2001. Having regard to the additional contribution and precedent of other Inquiries, it has been agreed that Stuart Hicks Management Pty Ltd would be paid a further amount of $10,000.
