Further to question on notice No. 1728 of March 2004 regarding the location of monitoring bore MP2 and claims of roadside contamination -
(1) Has any consideration been given to changing the location of the bore?
(2) If yes, will the Minister table any correspondence between the Department of Environmental Protection and the owners/managers of the Henderson landfill regarding a change of location for the MP2 monitoring bore?

(1) No further consideration has not been given to changing the location of the bore. The Department of Environmental Protection is in the process of reviewing a report produced by consultants, Parsons Brinkerhoff, who were engaged by the City of Cockburn to consolidate all the historical monitoring conducted at the Henderson Landfill, and will determine what further actions are needed. (2) Not applicable.
