I refer to all services contracted to Serco at Fiona Stanley Hospital and the Minister for Health’s media statement of 20 April 2015. (1) What are the key performance indicators for each of the service delivery areas? (2) When were each of these KPIs agreed to? (3) Is the government currently reviewing service areas other than sterilisation? (4) If yes to (3) — (a) which areas; and (b) when will the review be completed? Hon ALYSSA HAYDEN

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. Before I give the answer to that question, I would like to just give an update to an answer that was given to Hon Amber-Jade Sanderson in question without notice 363, asked on 26 March 2015. This question requested information that is commercial-in-confidence within the contract. Subsequent to the answer being provided, it has been determined that KPI thresholds and financial arrangements and abatements remain confidential; however, operator performance KPIs within the contract are to be made available for the public record. I seek leave to table the updated response and have it incorporated into Hansard . Hon Kate Doust : What are you hiding? Hon ALYSSA HAYDEN : Nothing; I think we are being transparent. Would the member like me not to provide further answers? The PRESIDENT : Order! Leave granted. [See paper 2773.] The following material was incorporated — I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. The following information has been provided to me by the Minister for Health. (1) The target for the KPI relating to the proportion of staff that have completed training in relation to mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse training is the 80th percentile of the WA Metropolitan Peer. (2) The threshold target is 50th percentile of the WA Metropolitan Peer. (3) The KPI deals with training and does not remove the requirement for mandatory reporting. The PRESIDENT : Now, the parliamentary secretary in answer to Hon Amber-Jade Sanderson’s question asked today. Hon ALYSSA HAYDEN : Given the amount of information required to respond to this question, I request the honourable member put it on notice. Several members interjected. The PRESIDENT : Order! Just in case members were wondering, the parliamentary secretary had briefed the Clerk beforehand that the two questions were related, apparently, and that is why she answered it that way, or did not answer it that way!
