With reference to the Corruption and Crime Commission’s 2006 Report on Sexual Contact With Children By Persons in Authority in the Department of Education and Training of Western Australia, I ask the Minister -
(1) Will free, independent advocacy services be provided to stakeholders who initiate complaints against the Department of Education and Training staff?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) If yes to (1), what will be the nature of the services provided and who will provide them?
(4) Will advocates and legal advisers be permitted to attend meetings held by the Complaints Management Unit between the individual who initiated the complaint and the subject of the complaint?
(5) If no to (4), why not?
