In addition these schools are supported by badged attendance officers, participation coordinators, youth engagement officers, youth transition officers, external agency involvement and programs, chaplaincy services, school psychologists, youth workers, Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers (AIEOs), Child and Parent Centres, and the Department of Education’s Statewide Services Centre.
The North Metropolitan Education Regional Office has a School Engagement Team and Aboriginal Education Team (a total of 12 FTE) to support these schools with case management and advice, running attendance advisory panels, mediating responsible parenting agreements and providing training for school staff.
