ASBESTOS — MODEL WORK safety and HEALTH REGULATIONS
I have a supplementary question. Can the Premier confirm that WorkSafe Western Australia has endorsed these model asbestos regulations, but a combination of the politicking of the Premier’s government and its tardiness in implementing the regulations means that Western Australian workers will not get the same protection as Australian workers in other states? Mr C.J. BARNETT

I do not have that information at my fingertips, but if the Leader of the Opposition wishes to put the question on notice, I will give him a full and detailed answer. But I assure the Leader of the Opposition that we will not compromise on occupational health and safety for workers in this state.
