The State Government has permanently introduced of the Go Anywhere Fare on 1 January 2026 meaning passengers already pay as little as $2.80 per trip.
Public transport usage has increased approximately 12.3% since the start of the conflict in Iran on 16 March 2026.
Australia’s fuel security response is being implemented through a staged, nationally consistent framework agreed by National Cabinet, to ensure proportionate and coordinated action across all jurisdictions.
The Government will consider all appropriate options to maintain fuel security in line with the National Fuel Security Plan.
