I refer to the Airport Link project and ask: (a) how many additional boardings and disembarkings does the Department of Transport estimate at Maylands, Meltham and Bayswater Stations respectively as a result of the Airport Link; (b) does the government intend to supply additional Transperth parking bays at either the Maylands, Meltham or Bayswater train stations to cope with the extra demand of the estimated 20,000 passengers who will take the Airport Link; and (c) if yes to (b), how many will be constructed at each and by when will they be completed?

(a) Whilst passenger numbers have been forecast for the three stations on the Forrestfield-Airport Link railway, the level of detail requested by the Member has not been identified.
(b) The Public Transport Authority does not expect to provide any additional car bays at these train stations specifically for people who intend to access the Airport via the Forrestfield-Airport Link railway. It should be noted that the 24 hour car parking bays provided at stations across the urban rail network are not designed to be long term car parking areas for airline passengers.
