ELECTORAL DATABASE SYSTEMS CONTRACTS
I assume that I will get this question answered. The previous answer is the sort of answer we get from the Premier these days—read Hansard from five years ago, or something. (1) Who are the contractors engaged by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet to receive elector information from the Electoral Commission? (2) Does the Electoral Commission provide identical information to each of the contractors? (3) If so, what information is provided; and, if not, what information is provided to each contractor? Hon SUE ELLERY

I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) The contractors are Magenta Linas Software Pty Ltd and CSG Ltd. (2)-(3) Magenta Linas Software receives a complete elector file dump every month. CSG receives a complete elector file dump when it loads new district boundaries—usually every four years—and thereafter receives monthly updates. Both contractors receive identical information in terms of the data provided—the only difference is in the number of records provided each month.
