I refer to police numbers in the Peel Metropolitan District, and ask: (a) as at 31 October 2013, how many sworn police officers (provide by full-time equivalent (FTE) and actual head-count) were employed in this District; (b) as at 31 October for each year 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, how many sworn police officers (provide by FTE and actual head-count) were employed in this District; (c) as at 31 October 2013, how many auxiliary officers (provide by FTE and actual head-count) were employed in this District; (d) as at 31 October 2013, how many detectives (provide by FTE and actual head-count) were employed in this District; (e) as at 31 October for each year 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, how many detectives (provide by FTE and actual head-count) were employed in this District; (f) as at 31 October 2012, how many forensic officers (provide by FTE and actual head-count) were employed in this District; and (g) as at 31 October for each year 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, how many forensic officers (provide by FTE and actual head-count) were employed in this District?

The reduced Actual Strength in 2011 is due to staff relocation for CHOGM.
The Planned Strength variation between 2009 & 2010 reflects the outcome of the restructure of South Metro and Peel Districts.
The response required for parts of questions (d)-(g) relating to the actual officers undertaking detective and forensic roles in the districts would take a significant amount of time and resources to collate and process. It is therefore not possible for Police to obtain this information without significantly compromising other core activities.
