(1) I refer to the functions of the Public Sector Commission under the Integrity (Lobbyists) Act 2016, the Contact with Lobbyists Code and Commissioner’s Instruction 16 “Government representatives contact with registrants and lobbyists”, and ask: (a) For 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and the current financial year to date; (b) how many reports, notifications or referrals alleging a suspected breach of the Integrity (Lobbyists) Act 2016 were received by the Public Sector Commission; and (c) how many reports, notifications or referrals alleging a suspected breach of the Contact with Lobbyists Code of Conduct were received by the Public Sector Commission? (2) For each year and each category in (1)(a) and (1)(b), how many matters related to: (a) Ministers; (b) Parliamentary Secretaries; (c) Ministerial office staff; and (d) other public sector officers? (3) For each year and each category in (1): (a) how many matters proceeded to preliminary assessment; (b) how many matters proceeded to formal investigation; and (c) what were the outcomes, broken down by category (for example: no further action; advice or reminder of obligations issued; remedial or management action recommended; disciplinary action recommended; referral to the employing authority; referral to the Corruption and Crime Commission; other – please specify)? (4) In relation to any matter in which a breach was substantiated in the period referred to in (1): (a) did the Public Sector Commission issue any public report, media statement or circular relating to the matter; and (b) if so, will the Premier table those documents? (5) Has the Public Sector Commission, since 2021-22, issued any specific guidance, circular or direction to ministerial offices about recording contact with lobbyists; and if so, will the Premier table that material?
