I refer to the need for additional specialist services in the South West region, and ask —
(1) How many additional full time equivalents (FTEs) to be located in the South West region are funded in the 2012-13 Budget for each of —
(a) Psychiatrists;
(b) Psychologists;
(c) Speech Therapists;
(d) Occupational Therapists;
(e) School Psychiatrists;
(f) Dentists; and
(g) Dental Therapists?
(2) Where in the South West region will the additional FTEs identified in answer to (1) be located?

(1)(a)-(d) There were no additional FTE funded in 2012-13 in any of these  disciplines in community health or mental health. There is however an additional $190,000 allocated to the SW budget in 2012-13 to enhance Child Development Service access and this is being utilised to purchase Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Audiology and Psychosocial services across the South West.
(e) WA Health does not employ School Psychiatrists. The WA Education Department is responsible for the employment of School Psychiatrists.
(f) Nil.
(g) Nil.
(2) Not applicable.
