I refer the Minister to the Government’s election commitment to vary the terms of the CSRFF from a one third Government contribution to a one half contribution for less financial local authorities, and ask -
(1) Has this policy been introduced?
(2) If so -
(a) which local authorities are eligible for the extra assistance; and
(b) have any local authorities accessed the extra assistance?
(3) If not, why not?

2. (a) A list detailing the level of financial assistance available to each local government will be distributed with CSRFF documentation when the next round of funding commences in July 2002. This list will change on an annual basis as the circumstances of individual local governments vary. (b) No. 3. The Special Assistance Grants category within CSRFF will not be introduced until the next funding round commencing in July 2002.
