Annual service charges are raised based on the availability of the service to the property, and may include charges for water, wastewater and drainage services. Customers are generally billed on a bi-monthly basis. Charges help cover the costs of providing clean and safe drinking water in Western Australia; taking away wastewater and disposing of it in an environmentally appropriate way; and removing stormwater through drainage services. Drainage charges apply only to metropolitan customers in the Declared Drainage Areas serviced by Water Corporation. Drainage services provided by Water Corporation in regional areas are fully funded by the State Government.
Water Corporation’s data is collated on a financial year basis, and therefore the following figures are provided for the 2022-2023 Financial Year. This is the most recent financial year data available. 2023-2024 data will be available later this calendar year.
