(1) What is the average shift length for a bus driver?
(2) What is the longest shift a bus driver must work?
(3) Do drivers have rest and meal breaks during shifts, and if yes, how often?
(4) Are breaks always taken in places where toilet facilities are available?
(5) When a location is determined for a bus terminus, is access to toilet or meal facilities a consideration?

The Public Transport Authority advises:
(1) The average shift for Transwa Road Coach Operators is between eight and eight and a half hours.
(2) Currently the longest shift worked is 13 hours.
(3) Yes. Road Coach Operators normally have a 20 minute break between the third and fourth, seventh and eighth and eleventh and twelfth hours.
(4) Yes although it should be noted that all Transwa Road Coaches are equipped with toilets for use by passengers and the Road Coach Operator on route, if necessary.
(5) See above.
