(1) Is the Minister aware of community concerns about invasive Watsonia plants growing on Water Authority land on the corner of Scott Street and Coulston Road in Boya in my electorate?
(2) Will the Minister consider having these weeds killed so that they no longer provide a colossal seed bed that reseeds the Greenmount National Park opposite and destroys native vegetation?
(3) Is the Minister aware of the painstaking efforts of local volunteers to remove Watsonia from local bushland?
(4) Will the Minister consult the Department of Environment and Conservation and seek their advice as to how the Water Authority could assist in the eradication of this weed that is destroying the natural bush land opposite?

(1) Yes.  The Water Corporation has met with representatives from the Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC), the Shire of Mundaring and local community groups to discuss potential management measures.
(2)  I consider it important to manage environmental weeds and the Water Corporation has recently undertaken weed control measures at the site.
(3)  Yes
(4)  The Water Corporation will continue to work with the DEC, the Shire of Mundaring and local community groups to implement further weed management measures at the site.
