Funding for utilities (including electricity and water) is included in agencies' base funding and is escalated each Budget process. Some agencies have sought additional assistance towards utilities expenses during the past 24 months. Each proposal has been considered by the Government on its merits together with all other funding proposals. Any additional expenditure that has been approved has been reported in the relevant Budget or Midyear Review.
