(b) No
(c) For CDMA phones blocking of the telephone number renders the handset inoperable.
For GSM mobile phones, the Department of Housing and Works has only been blocking the mobile phone number. However, the procedures for handling lost/stolen mobile phones have been reviewed and any future losses will have the IMEI and phone number reported to the service provider for blocking
