ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE — REGIONS
1024. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Road Safety:
I refer to the joint media statement
of 6 September, which claims that the Cook Labor government will spend an
additional $32.5 million over the next four years to boost safety on regional
roads across Western Australia.
(1) Is this government policy or is
it WA Labor's road safety election commitment?
(2) To what
extent can it be demonstrated that the $32.5 million is genuinely new or ''additional''
money, and additional to what exactly?
(3) Is the $32.5
million to be drawn down exclusively from the road trauma trust account?
(4) If yes to
(3), what are the cashflow impacts on the RTTA over the estimates?
