re-read the quote —

I just want to make two things
clear. Dr Fiona Stanley said at the meeting that she did not want an inquiry.
That is what she said. That is what my notes say; that is what other people's
notes say. That is what I heard her say. I also note that in her article in The
West Australian today, she said that the Minister for Corrective Services
said that he did not want to employ
Aboriginal people in the corrections system. He said the opposite at the
meeting. That is what my notes reflect. That is what I heard him say. I do
not know why she has said the things she has said, because the note takers—I
and others—recorded what was said.
