1049. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the minister representing the
Minister for Planning:
I refer to ''Draft State
Planning Policy 3.6: Infrastructure Contributions'', dated July 2019.
(1) Will the SPP be finalised and
implemented this calendar year; and, if yes, on what date?
(2) Has the state government received a request from
industry to undertake an audit of the balance and operation of local
government developer contribution schemes?
(3) If yes to (2), will the
government undertake that audit, and when will it commence that work?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided by the
Minister for Planning.
(1) It is anticipated that the Western Australian
Planning Commission recommendation regarding ''Draft State Planning Policy 3.6: Infrastructure Contributions'', will be provided to
the Minister for Planning before the end of 2020.
(2)–(3) The
government has received a submission on the state budget from the Urban
Development Institute of Australia (WA), which includes reference to local
government developer contribution schemes. The submission will be considered by
the government.
