No. There are no Sexual Assault Research Centres in any prison in Western Australia. However, the Department of Corrective Services has an agreement with the Department of Health Sexual Assault Resource Centre, to provide sexual assault counselling services on referral to prisoners who have experienced sexual assault and/or sexual abuse. Should prisoners who reside at Karnet and Wooroloo Prison Farms require the need for Sexual Assault Resource Centre resources and support, then an agreement can be undertaken to provide these resources.
