PERTH FREIGHT LINK — COCKBURN SOUND CONTAINER PORT
610. Hon KATE DOUST to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the
modelling undertaken to support the Perth Freight Link.
(1) In what year
does the modelling assume a second container port in Cockburn Sound will open?
(2) Does the government
still support this date?
(3) If no to (2), in
what year does the government currently expect a second container port will
open?
(4) How much is currently allocated in the
2015–16 budget for planning works on a second container port?

(1)–(4) It
is mid to late 2020s, as capacity is reached at the current port and demand
requires.
