2. The budget allocated for the Kununurra Dental redevelopment is $400 000. It is estimated that the project will be completed by mid 2007. 3. Contract documentation for a new facility is progressing in anticipation of proceeding to tender in early October 2004. 4. Estimated total cost is $7.9 million with completion expected in November 2006. 5. The State Cancer Centre (Stage 1) at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital will contain three linear accelerators which are used for radiotherapy treatment. These machines will be installed in large concrete vaults with adjoining clinical support, outpatient waiting and reception areas. 6. The expected total cost of Stage 1 is $12 000 000. Site possession for the construction contractor is scheduled for late December 2004, subject to statutory planning approvals. Overall completion is scheduled for September 2005. The three linear accelerators are being procured through a separate tender process. Tenders for these machines have closed and are currently being assessed. The scope and timing of subsequent stages of the State Cancer Centre will be considered as part of the current Health Reform implementation process.
