HEROIN TRIALS
I refer the minister to recommendation 29 from the Community Drug Summit, which recommends the provision of a heroin prescription treatment. Given Kim Beazley’s commitment that a federal Labor Government would not stand in the way of planned state heroin trials, will the minister admit that this Government intends to introduce such trials? Mr KUCERA

I can hear the noise of a federal election here somewhere. In a statement in the House the other day I said that I would not allow the excellent work done by the people of the Drug Summit to become a political football. Obviously the member for Murdoch is intent on undoing its good work.
