I refer to the cattle grid on Camp Road, Paraburdoo, and ask —
(1) When did Main Roads Western Australia remove the cattle grid on Camp Road, Paraburdoo and replace it with painted lines on the road?
(2) Is Main Roads Western Australia aware that cattle are walking across the painted lines and entering the town site?
(3) Does Main Roads Western Australia intend to replace the cattle grid, and if yes, when will this occur?
(4) Is there money in the 2012-13 financial year Budget to fund this project?

Main Roads WA
advises:
(1) July 2010 as the grid was structurally unsafe.
(2) While reports were received that cattle was entering the town site, Main Roads was not able to assess the effectiveness of the painted grid for some time due to the stock being able to access the township from other routes via damaged or missing fences and grids.
(3-4) Yes. Main Roads has advised that it is currently undertaking arrangements for the replacement of the requested cattle grid. It is anticipated that the grid will be installed as soon as operationally possible, subject to funding availability.
