SENIORS CARD — INDIGENOUS HOLDERS 89. Hon SHELLEY EATON to the Minister for Seniors and Volunteering: Can the minister advise how many Indigenous people hold a Western Australian Seniors Card? Hon ROBYN McSWEENEY

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice of this question. The Seniors Card application form provides an option for applicants to provide non-compulsory demographic information, including whether the applicant is Indigenous. Not all applicants complete that section of the form. As a result, the Seniors Card database can provide only a general indication of the number of Seniors Card holders who are Indigenous. Providing the information in the time required is not possible as it must be sourced from reports obtained from the Seniors Card database. I request that the member place the question on notice.
