GAS SUPPLIES — DOMESTIC AND
INDUSTRIAL
587. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the Minister for Energy:
I refer to the presentation given by Mark Chatfield, the
Executive Director of ACIL Tasman, Perth, at the ''Mining the Pilbara
Conference'', titled ''Infrastructure and Energy in the Pilbara''

(1) What are the projections of domestic and industrial gas
supplies beyond 2016–17?
(2) Will there be a shortfall?
(3) If no to (2), why not?
(4) If yes to (2), when will this occur, and what action is
being taken to address the issue?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question.
(1)–(4)
Modelling regarding future domestic and industrial gas supplies was conducted
as part of the state government's strategic energy initiative, which
will be released very shortly. I will provide the honourable member with the
requested information after the release of the SEI, which as I said will be
very shortly.
