(a – d) The Aboriginal Family Led Decision Making (AFLDM) pilot program is continuing in the Midwest-Gascoyne region. The Department of Communities is currently finalising negotiations with a new AFLDM provider to continue the AFLDM service delivery in the Mid-West Gascoyne.
The previous service provider experienced referral concerns, and performance and partnership challenges. Communities worked closely with the provider to try to overcome these challenges however were unable to do so. Communities assessed that it was appropriate to seek another provider to deliver AFLDM rather than the Geraldton community losing access to the program altogether.
