(2) The Forest Management Plan 2014-2023 was prepared involving the following consultation with Noongar people:
· In November 2011, the then Department of Environment and Conservation met with South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council, the native title representative body for the plan area.
· In July 2012, the department worked with the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council to develop and agree on a consultation process with the Noongar community.
· Consultation with the Noongar community also took place as part of the broader public submission phase on the Draft Forest Management Plan 2014-2023 in 2012. This included regional information days in Perth on 10 September, Bunbury on 12 September and Manjimup on 13 September.
· In August and September 2012, representatives of the department attended meetings of the native title working parties representing the registered native title claim groups in the area of the plan. These meetings took place in various locations in Perth and Busselton.
· In October 2012, the department convened an intensive workshop for representatives of the native title groups in order to discuss the content of the Draft Forest Management Plan 2014-2023.
· In November 2012, the native title working parties prepared and submitted a combined submission on the Draft Forest Management Plan 2012-2023.
· In December 2012 and January 2013, the department continued to work with the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council to provide feedback to finalise the plan.
· Through April to July 2013, the department met with representatives of the native title claim groups for the plan in various locations throughout the south-west, to discuss appropriate mechanisms for ongoing consultation to conserve and protect Noongar cultural and heritage values.
