914. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the covered road signs on the exit ramps at Reid
Highway when heading south on the Mitchell Freeway, and at Cedric Street when
heading north on the Mitchell Freeway.
(1) What information is provided on each sign?
(2) Why are they covered up?
(3) When will they be revealed?
(4) Why have they been installed and covered for months?

question.

The signs are part of an anti-litter program run earlier this year by Main
Roads Western Australia and the Keep Australia Beautiful Council, and provide
information about the damage caused by littering and contact details for
members of the public to report incidents of littering. The signs were covered
at the end of the program and will remain covered until an assessment of the
effectiveness of this initiative has been completed.
