In the minister’s media statement titled “Funding for tuart conservation at Ludlow” dated 10 May 2005 the minister said - Other projects that were not funded, such as the development of a tuart forest management plan and the restoration of plantation areas following pine harvesting, will be funded through other Government programs. In relation to - (a) the development and implementation of a tuart forest management plan; and (b) the restoration of plantation areas following pine harvesting - (1) What government programs are available? (b) Restoration of plantation areas following pine harvesting would be expected to include works undertaken by, or on behalf of, the Forest Products Commission for post-harvest site clean-up and site preparation for tuart regeneration. In addition, works will be undertaken by the Department of Conservation and Land Management to restore native understorey vegetation.
