I am very pleased to ask this question because I know that the minister, as the former Minister for Education and Training, has some ownership of this matter. (1) Will the minister confirm that the government will honour the commitment it gave on 8 December 2004 as part of the development of the Mt Barker community’s “One College, One Community” vision to provide a kindergarten to year 12 facility in the town, with the construction of a $7 million new Mr Barker primary school being the first stage of the project? (2) If yes, will the minister advise whether a project manager has been appointed to oversee the planning and construction of the new Mt Barker primary school?
