I refer to a report that the Government are installing water tanks in all Government owned installations, and I ask: (a) Can the Minister verify this report; (b) Are all Government schools on the proposed list of installations; (c) Will the Department of Education fund the installation of the tanks; (d) Can the Minister clarify for what purpose the stored water will be used for on a daily basis in the school; (e) Can the Minister clarify that the water used will be safe for students and staff to use in whatever capacity the Government deems it is to be used for; (f) Which Department will monitor the quality of the stored water; (g) Will the installation of the tanks also take into account the guttering and pipe installations required to shift the water to the area it will be used for; and (h) Will the Department of Education take responsibility for the maintenance and cleaning of the water catchment components?

(a)–(h)    I am not aware of a report relating to the installation of water tanks in Government-owned installations. The Department of Education has also advised it is not aware of such a report.
