BANKSIA HILL DETENTION CENTRE AND UNIT 18 DETAINEES
427. Hon Dr BRAD PETTITT to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer to youth detention.
Please
provide the following information on Banksia Hill Detention Centre and unit 18,
respectively, for April 2023 and May 2023 —
(a) the number of suicide and
self-harm attempts;
(b) the monthly average out-of-cell
hours; and
(c) the number of occasions on which
a young person spent 20 or more hours in their cell.
