I refer to the briefing paper 'Western Australia Police Force assessment of crime trends based on prejudice towards the diverse sexuality and gender community,' and to the recommendation that the Western Australia Police Force undertake further consultation with LGBTIQ community members, groups and employees within the Western Australia Police Force to seek further feedback on service provision, and I ask: (a) has this consultation occurred; (b) if no to (a), why not; and (c) iIf yes to (a): (i) which community groups were consulted; and (ii) when were they consulted?

The Western Australian Police Force advise:
(a)     Yes.
(b)     Not applicable.
(c)     The LGBTQI+ community members within the Western Australia Police Force have been consulted, most recently in February 2020. The Community Engagement Division within the WA Police Force also engages with the Western Australian LGBTQI+ community to build confidence in policing services. This includes publication of targeted communication material, monitoring of community concerns and feedback and participation in the annual Pride Parade, Fair Day and other events.
