Manuwarra Red Dog Highway
87. Hon Julie Freeman to
the parliamentary secretary representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to stage 4 of the Manuwarra Red Dog Highway and
note that stage 4A works have commenced, including a 10-kilometre section
scheduled for completion by mid-2026 and the remaining 37 kilometres of stage
4A to commence at that time.
(1) Given that this leaves an estimated
60 kilometres remaining to complete the project, is the project on track to be
delivered within the approved budget?
(2) Noting that the 2025–26 budget papers
list final project expenditure of $81.6 million in the 2026–27 financial year,
is this amount expected to fund construction of more than 60 kilometres of
road?
(3) Is the project on track to be
completed as estimated by late 2027?
