I refer to the Water for Food project at Mowanjum, and I ask: (a) when did the project start; (b) will the Minister release the business case for the project; (c) if no to (b), why not; (d) how much Water for Food funding has been spent to date; (e) will the Minister provide a detailed breakdown of the expenditure to date; (f) if no to (e), why not; (g) how many reports have been produced for the project; (h) will the Minister table all reports associated with the project; (i) if no to (h), why not; (j) how many full time equivalent positions have been created by the project; (k) how many full time equivalent positions have been created by the project for Mowanjum residents; (l) how many full time equivalent positions are there currently for Mowanjum residents through the Water for Food project; (m) how many Indigenous traineeships have been created by the project for Mowanjum residents; (n) how many full time equivalent positions are budgeted for Mowanjum people in the future; and (o) what is the future budget for the Mowanjum Water for Food project?

(a) 21 November 2014 (b) No (c) The Business Case is not available for release as it is Cabinet in Confidence. (d) The Department of Water has spent $3.46 million to 30 September 2016. (e) $2.1 million of the $3.6 million budget has been appropriated to the Mowanjum Aboriginal Corporation under a Financial Assistance Agreement to establish a 38 hectare centre pivot stand and graze irrigated trial site, implement a trainee program, create sustainable jobs and place Mowanjum on a pathway to achieving its aspiration of economic independence. (f) Not applicable (g) Nil (h) Yes, when they are completed (i) Not applicable (j) Two (k) Two (l) Two (m) Two Aboriginal men commenced traineeships in May 2016.  There are also an additional 15 local residents involved in an onsite training program to build further station infrastructure.
