(1)-(2) Currently the estimated total cost, which was reflected in the Government Mid-year Financial Projections Statement , for the New MetroRail project is $1.664 billion. A number of claims remained outstanding, including some that are subject to litigation. Leighton Contractors is the only contractor to have initiated litigation. If required, additional funding will be considered as and when claims and litigation are finalised.
