Gas (Public Utilities Office) (a) – (c) There are no licensed retailers of reticulated gas in these regions and disconnection rates from bottled gas are not reported. (d) – (i) Unknown. These regions are serviced by privately-owned gas retailers who are not required to report on disconnection rates by region.
Electricity (a) – (e) Electricity retailer Horizon Power services the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Mid West and Goldfields-Esperance. Disconnection data provided by Horizon Power is detailed in the attached. [See tabled paper no.   ] (f) – (i) Electricity retailer Synergy services over 1 million customers in the Wheatbelt, Great Southern, Peel and South West areas. Synergy advises that to manually extract the data for these segmented areas would take considerable time and resources away from core business. After initial extraction of data, it would need to be trawled through manually to evaluate and categorise data to the requested areas. Registered billing addresses are also not always consistent with the address of disconnections. Due to the volume of work required, it is not considered reasonable or appropriate use of Government resources to provide this information.
