Question regarding deregistered teachers due to non-renewal of WACOT registration, inquiring about data collection on reasons for non-renewal and whether teachers found the process burdensome. WACOT does not collect data on reasons for non-renewal, but some teachers have cited the process as burdensome, though no data is collected on the number.

I refer to question on notice No. 4259 and to Western Australia school teachers who have been deregistered by the Western Australian College of Teaching (WACOT) for failing to renew their registration before expiry, and I ask -
(1) Does the College collect data about why people have chosen not to renew their WACOT registration?
(2) If yes to (1), please provide this information for each of the years from 2009 to 2011.
(3) Have any teachers advised WACOT that they have not re-registered because they considered the registration process to be overly burdensome?
(4) If yes to (3), how many?
