(1)-(3) Main Roads had a number of discussions with representatives from the City of Mandurah about the connection of Allnutt Street to the Mandurah bypass and making Murdoch Drive a four-way intersection with traffic control signals. The proposal was considered for inclusion in the Peel region scheme but was deleted at the request of the Ministry for Planning because of the need for further investigation and public consultation. However, the Ministry for Planning is currently undertaking a land use and transportation study for the central Mandurah area, which will involve an assessment of road needs, including consideration of the Allnutt Street connection to the bypass. No costings are available at this stage. Main Roads has tendered to the Ministry for Planning formal advice on the provision of a second crossing of the bypass at Murdoch Drive.
