parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Minister for Transport's announcement
on 7 May 2014 that Yilgarn Esperance Solution Limited had been chosen to
design, build and operate the new Esperance port multi-user iron ore export
facility.
(1) When does the minister expect that construction of this
facility will commence?
(2) When does
the minister expect the port's iron ore export capacity will reach 20 million
tonnes per annum?
(3) How long
can YES maintain its preferred proponent status before it must submit plans
and/or commence construction?
(4) Does YES
have any right to compensation from the state or port authority should the
expansion not proceed?
