(1) The introduction of a Waste Container Deposit Scheme into Western Australia is a long-standing issue and there are a number of interested stakeholders. The Environment Protection and Heritage Council (EPHC) is currently examining the appropriateness of a Waste Container Deposit Scheme and will report its findings in 2009. As part of my careful consideration of this issue, I will take this report into account, along with thorough stakeholder consultation.
(2-3) Not applicable.
